Sweet Sunday

Also ich liebe ja Wochenenden! Aber wer tut das nicht, gell? Vor allem das Ausschlafen aber auch einfach dass für alles viel Zeit und Ruhe ist. Beispielsweise dafür, die Blumenzwiebeln lagerfertig zu machen ;) In den letzten Jahren habe ich immer die verblühten Zwiebelblumen einfach weggeworfen und im nächsten Jahr neue gekauft - ich weiß... Aber in diesem Jahr lagere ich die Zwiebeln ein und dieses Jahr habe ich im Gegensatz zu den vergangen Jahren auch eine praktische und hübsche Lagermöglichkeit.Ich hoffe, ich sehe diese Blumen alle im nächsten Jahr wieder!


I do love weekens, but who doesn't, right?! I do especially love to sleep in and there is enough time to get all to do's done. This weekend I had to put away the bulbs of all those beautiful white flowers you saw on my last post. In the past years I threw the bulbs away and bought new flowers in the next year. I know... But this year I found a nice and pretty solution to store the bulbs until the next year! I think it looks pretty and is also very handy. I hope to see all the flowers again next year!

 

Da ja nun die ganzen schönen Blümchen fehlen, musste ich natürlich wieder umdekorieren - wie praktisch, dass ich vor Kurzem Tulpen geschenkt bekommen habe ;) Ich konnte mich noch nicht entscheiden, ob ich sie nun in die Küche stelle oder doch lieber auf den Esstisch :)

But due to the fact that all those pretty flowers are now missing I had to re decorate again. Very good that I've got a present in the past week: pretty tulips :) But I just can't decide where to place them - in the kitchen or on the dining table? 

 

Und nach der Arbeit folgt ja bekanntlich das Vergnügen und deshalb werde ich jetzt in diese tollen Zeitschriften abtauchen und die ersten Erdbeeren genießen - auch wenn es noch sehr früh im Jahr ist. aber ich konnte ihnen einfach nicht widerstehen! Ich liebe Erdbeeren! 

And as we all know - after business comes the pleasure I will now enjoy all those magazines together with the first strawberries of the year. I know it's pretty early for them but I just couldn't resist! I just love strawberries!

Back again... finally!

Hallooooo! 

Endlich kann ich wieder posten, was hat das jetzt lange gedauert! Und was alles passiert ist in dieser Zeit. Meine letzten Posts sind ja aus der Zeit vor Weihnachten. Und zu Weihnachten gab es viele schöne Geschenke - unter anderem das Backbuch von Leila Lindholm (hier). Ich bin begeistert von diesem Buch und will am liebsten alles gleich backen. Mit den Himbeer Cupcakes habe ich auch direkt angefangen.

  
Das neue Jahr hat – bis auf die Sache mit meinem Laptop – ansonsten gut angefangen und ich bin sehr froh, dass nun der Frühling vor der Tür steht. Entsprechend sieht es auch in meiner Wohnung aus ;) Ich habe gleich nach dem abdekorieren nach Weihnachten Blümchen gekauft und dekoriert und nach meinem Geburtstag natürlich die wunderschönen geschenkten Blumen gleich mit dekoriert... ich finde, das hat ganz gut funktioniert und ich dekoriere sowieso ständig um und überlege mir, wie ich die Dinge anders stellen kann ;)

 

Diesen tollen Blumenstrauß habe ich von meiner Familie bekommen... ich finde ihn einfach nur schön und immer wenn ich ihn angeschaut habe, hat es mir ein Lächeln ins Gesicht gezaubert!

In meiner Küche habe ich nun ein neues Regal, in dem ich meine ganzen Krüge, kleinen Vasen etc. „on display“ habe und für die anderen Dinge ist im Unterschrank genügend Platz. Bilder folgen :) Das entlastet meine Küchenschränke ein bisschen. Ich liebe meine Küche... aber ich hätte doch gerne noch mehr Stauraum! Apropos Küche... hier habe ich mich auch versucht und zwar am Ruffled Cake, das Rezept habe ich bei Yvonne (hier) gefunden. Oma, Mama und Schwesterherz waren begeistert davon und ich war ganz stolz ;) Danke, liebe Yvonne für das tolle Rezept ;) Auch meine Kollegen waren am nächsten Tag noch von den restlichen Stückchen begeistert... ich denke mal, es ist nicht das letzte Mal, dass ich diesen Kuchen gemacht habe ;)

 

Euch allen eine schöne Zeit und genießt die Sonnenstrahlen und die milden Temperaturen! Ich denke Euch geht es wie mir... es kribbelt schon in den Fingern weil ich den Balkon herrichten möchte ;) Aber das ist vielleicht doch noch ein bisschen früh!

Helllooooo! Finally I am back to posting again – it’s been way too long since my last posts around Christmas! I've got loads of nice presents for Christmas, Leila Lindholm's book (here) is just one of them and I am totally happy about this book. I want to try out all the recipes right away, well I have started with the raspberry cupcakes. 

The New Year started very well – except the thing with my laptop – and I am so happy that finally the spring is just around the corner. And as you can imagine my place looks just like spring ;) I bought flowers right after I put away the Christmas decoration and put up all the new flowers. Plus with all the beautiful flower I got for my birthday my place is now decorated with white blossoms... just beautiful! The beautiful bouquet of flowers is from my family! I really loved that and looking at it made me smile every single time!

In my kitchen I do have a new cupboard in which I put all my jars and mugs and bowls to have them “on display” and for all the other things there’s enough space in the cupboard below. Photos will follow. I really love my kitchen but I really would like to have more storage possibilities. Speaking of the kitchen, I worked on my skills in that department ;) For my birthday afternoon with Grandma I prepared a ruffle cake – I found the recipe at Yvonne’s blog (here) – thank you for that great recipe! Both my grandma and mom as well as my baby sister liked the cake very much ;) Also my colleagues could enjoy the left-overs the next day. I know, that’s not the last time I made that cake ;)

For now, enjoy the sun and the mild temperatures. I think you feel the same way I am: the fingers are nervous because I want to free the flowers on my terrace from their winter dress and get the terrace ready for spring ;) But I think that’s a bit too early.
