Trick or Treat

Hallo und Happy Halloween!
Jedes Jahr macht eine Freundin ein Halloween Abendessen und dieses Jahr bringe ich den Nachtisch mit. Es gibt Cupcakes in drei Designs ;) Ja, ich habe mich ein bisschen an der Lebensmittelfarbe (die endlich angekommen ist nachdem die erste Lieferung verloren ging) ausgetobt aber ich finde sie gelungen und hoffe, dass sie allen schmecken.

Hello and Happy Halloween!
Every year a friend invites to a Halloween Dinner and this year I am responsible for the desert. We'll have cupcakes in three different designs ;) Yes, I went crazy about the food colour (which finally arrived after the first delivery went missing) but I think they are a succes and I hope everyone will enjoy them.

Golden September

Halloooooo an alle!

So lange ist es schon her, dass ich mal geschrieben habe... unfassbar, wie die Zeit vergeht.

Zuerst einmal berichte von meinem Wochenende vor zwei Wochen... geplant war, mit dem Schatz nach Bingen auf das Winzerfest zu gehen. Meine Kamera wollte ich mitnehmen um auch mal ein paar schöne Bilder davon zu machen... nur hatte ich meine Kamera vergessen!

Im Prinzip nicht so schlimm, nach Bingen kann man ja immer mal. ABER... es kommt ja bekanntlich immer anders als man denkt und ganz spontan saßen wir dann auf einem Schiff mit Ziel Oberwesel zu Rhein in Flammen. Eine freiwillige Feuerwehr aus der schwäbischen Alb war auf ihrem jährlichen Ausflug, sie hatten zwei Tickets über und wir haben die gekauft. Es gab leckeres Essen, lustige Musik und wunderschöne Ausblicke auf die Orte am Rhein. Mensch, habe ich mich geärgert, dass ich die Kamera vergessen hatte.

Das Feuerwerk war superschön und es hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt, auf das Winzerfest zu verzichten ;) Also fürs nächste Jahr: alle Mann nach Bingen und zu Rhein in Flammen!

Und nun ist plötzlich der Herbst da... und  mit dem Herbst kommen die kräftigen Farben! Ich mag diese Jahreszeit ja gerne! Und habe mir auch deshalb zwei neue Mitbewohnerinnen gesucht: Erika und Heide :) Und die Weinkiste, die ich endlich endlich habe bietet sich doch richtig gut dafür an. Ich bin so froh über diese Weinkiste und hätte gerne noch viel mehr ;)

Hellooooo everyone!

It's been so long since my last post... unbelievable but time flies.

First of all let me tell you about the weekend two weeks ago. We planned to go to Bingen to a wine market and I planned to take photos of Bingen and the Rhine area... but I forgot my camera!

Not too bad in principle but then we decided to buy tickets for "Rhein in Flammen", a big event with fireworks where you are on a ship and you have dinner, music and fun and then you see the fireworks from the ship. Man, I really wished I had my camera!  All the nice towns along the river and the nice light, the fireworks... that would have been great photos.

So if you ever come to Germany plan to buy tickets for that event!

And now autumn has arrived... and with it there are the intensive colours. I really like this season! As as I do now have this beautiful wine crate I invited two new roomates: Erica and Heather ;)

Blooming beauty

Normalerweise verblühen Orchideen immer sehr schnell bei mir und blühen dann entweder gar nicht mehr oder sehr sehr lange nicht. Aber diese eine mag offensichtlich den Platz am Fenster und blühte bisher immer wieder. Doch dieses Jahr toppt sie alles mit ihren vielen und großen Blüten und sie sieht aus wie gerade gekauft ... findet Ihr nicht auch? Ich finde sie wunderschön und muss immer lächeln wenn ich sie anschaue.


Normally orchids only bloom for a few weeks as soon as I own them and after they lose all their blossoms they don't bloom for a aver long time... or not at all. But this one apparently likes the place by the window and until now it had blossoms every year. But this year it is going crazy with the beautiful large blossoms. It looks like I just bought it...don't you think? I find it so beautiful and it makes me smile everytime I look at it.
